LWG Construction partnered with the Owner, Architect, and Engineers to deliver a major campus expansion for Hilldale School, adding three new ground-up buildings totaling 16 new classrooms. The project included restroom cores, a chair lift, underground utilities, PG&E upgrades, retaining walls, extensive site work, and public works improvements. Originally planned as a single five-classroom building, the scope expanded to include two additional buildings, a new central courtyard, and a new basketball court to enhance student spaces and campus flow. LWG also led improvements to campus access by transforming a former back road into a new street roundabout to better accommodate student pick-up and drop-off. Delivered through a collaborative design-build approach, this multi-phase project spanned nearly eight years from conception to completion, requiring detailed coordination, overlapping schedules, and close collaboration with public agencies and utility providers. The expansion significantly increases Hilldale School’s ability to serve gifted students across the Daly City area while maximizing site use and long-term functionality.
